Anne Anderson, Violin, Viola, Piano
Ms. Anderson always knew that she wanted to teach the violin since the age of 12 and has a love for music. She has been playing since the age of 3 and has intensely studied to teach music. Ms. Anderson also studied at Gwinnett Technical College for a specialized degree. Ms. Anderson primarily draws from the Suzuki approach and integrates music history, international classical studies, music theory and ear training into her teaching. She also incorporates classical repertoire to help students build proper technique but loves to utilize fiddle and ethnic teaching styles wherever possible. While Ms. Anderson specializes in young beginners, she accepts students of all ages. She has taught in the Boston School System and instructed more than 500+ students in their city-wide strings program. Her goal is to teach students strong practice techniques and help them develop a love for music as an art form. Many of her private students have made it into All-state, the EYSO, MYSO, Kendall (GCYS), Lambert (LSO) and the GSYO. Some of her previous students performed before graduating for scholarship at her church and have gone on to college to study music. Ms. Anderson teaches with enthusiasm and passion, qualities that she seeks to instill into every student that she instructs. She has also performed in many orchestras. She currently performs with the Gwinnett Symphony Orchestra and the Northeast Atlanta Ballet. She serves as Associate Concertmaster and Concertmaster for certain GSO/NEAB performances. She has also performed live with the Agape Players in Atlanta, Adagio Big Band in Boston Ma. and with a few other bands. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, performing for weddings, and in churches. She also is the lead violinist for the Southern Manor Strings Quartet.

Angela Anzai, Piano
Angela Anzai began her piano studies at the age of seven in Atlanta, Georgia. Her passion for performance was evident in those early years and has led her to participate in numerous recitals and to become an experienced competitor of annual in-state competitions receiving top ratings in local and state-wide organizations including the Georgia music teachers association, Georgia music Educators Association, and the Georgia Bach Competition among others. In 2007, Angela decided to pursue a degree in Piano Performance at Kennesaw State University, and was honored with the Emmanuel Ax Piano Scholarship and the Steinway Society Endowed Scholarship and in 2014 completed her Bachelor’s in music performance. She has performed with exclusive groups such as Lisa Kaplan of eighth blackbird, Simone Dinnerstein, Alisa Weilerstein, and The Ying Quartet.

Jeff Simmons, Saxophone, Piano, Improvisation, Arranging, Composition
A native of Gainesville, GA, Jeff earned his Bachelor’s in Music at the University of Georgia, and received his Master’s in Music Performance at the University of South Carolina. Jeff has performed with such diverse artists as Ray Charles, Mary Wilson, The Temptations, Burt Bacharach, Tony Bennett, The Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, The Savannah Jazz Orchestra, The Carolina Philharmonic, and The North Carolina Symphony. As a teacher he has been an adjunct professor of music at Cape Fear Community College and has been staff arranger for UNC Marching Tar Heels, and the NC State Marching Wolfpack. He is active as a music arranger/composer for numerous music groups throughout the country. He has been a featured musician at the Carolina Opry in Myrtle Beach, SC as well as a production assistant featured as both a saxophonist and as a pianist. He was also Music Director at the Abbey Church in Pawleys Islands, SC. His original compositions and arrangements for bands are published by Arranger’s Publishing Company in Nashville, TN. A proud father of two boys, Hunter and Jacob, Jeff enjoys sharing his music talents with children of all ages both young and “aged”. :) As the great Louis Armstrong said, “There’s only two kinds of music, good and bad.” Music of any kind is always good!

Don Gardo, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba, Trumpet
Don Gardo graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in Trombone performance from GA State Univ. and was privileged to study with retired Atlanta Symphony principal trombonist, Harry Maddox, and tubist, Michael Moore. Don has also performed with ASO, Savannah Symphony, Colorado Philharmonic, and Spoleto Festival Orchestra, to mention a few. He was principal trombonist with the Virginia Symphony and Opera Orchestra. Don has almost 30 years of teaching experience and believes that making music is an art form. He balances his artistic musicianship with technical studies that help students achieve their musical goals.

Scott Douglas, Drums & Percussion
Scott Douglas has been performing and teaching since 1976. His students have won highest state and all-state honors and have gone on to be professional performers in New York, Los Angeles and Atlanta. Mr. Douglas training comes from top orchestra players in New York where he also studied with Leigh Howard Stevens on marimba as well as jazz vibraphone with David Friedman . He has performed since 1976 as an extra with the Atlanta Symphony, currently is principal timpani and keyboard soloist with the Atlanta Ballet Orchestra. He also has served as percussionists for many touring Broadway shows at the Fox and Alliance Theaters. He has also performed as a recitalist through Arts councils throughout the state, as well as touring with the Atlanta Pops Orchestra.

Charles Anschuetz, Piano
Mr. Anschuetz is a 35 year veteran of teaching traditional and Suzuki piano, and sometimes a blend. Charles began his music education at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, Md., and graduated with a degree in both piano and pipe organ from the University of Oklahoma. His areas of service include Vice President and President of the Orlando Music Club, and Vice President of the Central Florida Music Teacher's National Association. Teaching is his main interest, and he looks forward to a long and rewarding career in the Greater Atlanta area.

PJ Jones, Bassoon
Starting his musical journey in 1990, PJ Jones was destined for his love of music from that point forward. After playing the trumpet for five years, he decided to pick-up playing the bassoon after a summer of the Governor's Honors Program in Valdosta, GA. After playing the bassoon for about two years, he then when to the University of Georgia to study Bassoon Performance under the teachings of Dr. William Davis. While at UGA, PJ played with the University Wind Symphony, Symphony Orchestra, Opera Orchestra, and various chamber groups. He also toured upstate New York with the American Wind Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Robert Boudreau. After graduating college with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance, PJ has played in many gigs in local groups throughout the state of Georgia. Currently you can find him playing 2nd bassoon in the DeKalb Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Fyodor Cherniavsky.

Lola Cole, Voice, Guitar
Lola Cole studied performing arts, with a focus in voice and stage performance, at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. After returning to Atlanta, Lola has hosted and shared stages with some of Christian Music's and Atlanta's top artist, including JJ Weeks Band, Rend Collective, LeCrae, Black Linen, Ruby Woo, Jimi Cravity and Kari Jobe. Lola continued her training in stage performance and voice with famous coaches, Tom Jackson and Brett Manning. She recently was a main performer at SXSW 2016, in Austin, TX. She is an active solo artist in the Atlanta community and is furthering her education with Berklee School of Music. She is also involved in the teen and college ministries at Passion City Church. She is an energetic, enthusiastic instructor. She believes in giving life to the natural born gift of singing and movement.
