Preston Wilhite, a recent graduate of Georgia State University in music education, embodies a deep passion for trumpet performance and music pedagogy. Throughout his undergraduate journey, Preston has distinguished himself as a skilled musician, dedicated educator, and mentor. From a young age, Preston's love for the trumpet has driven his pursuit of excellence in solo performances and collaborative ensemble settings. His musical approach transcends technical proficiency as he seeks to make compelling stories and forge meaningful connections with his audience. Preston's involvement in the music community extends far beyond the concert hall. Serving as the manager of the Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony and a trumpet instructor at local middle and high schools, he has demonstrated a deep commitment to nurturing young musicians and fostering a supportive learning environment. In addition to his teaching and mentoring roles, Preston has been an active participant in various ensembles, including the Georgia State Symphonic Wind Ensemble and the Atlanta Trumpet Ensemble. These experiences have honed his musical skills and reinforced his belief in the transformative power of music.
