Cara Jensen is in her final semester of completing a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Georgia. Throughout her course of study, she has taught students ranging in age from preschool to adulthood across a variety of instruments. She has also had the honor of singing with the internationally recognized UGA Hodgson Singers, as well as the Georgia State University Singers. Cara has been singing for over a decade and is passionate about helping students understand the mechanisms of healthy vocal technique in whatever style they prefer to sing in. She also has several years of experience performing as a singer-songwriter and enjoys helping students find their voice through songwriting. Cara has been playing guitar for ten years, and piano for four. Currently, she teaches voice, guitar, and piano at New School of Music, and works to build a curriculum around students’ individual goals and interests, emphasizing fun and a positive learning environment.
