She has been playing music since the age of 3. Ms. Anderson studied at the Atlanta Suzuki Institute and the Suzuki institute at East Carolina University. She also studied for a specialized degree at Gwinnett Technical College. Drawing primarily from the Suzuki approach, Ms. Anderson also integrates music history, international classical repertoire studies, music theory and ear training into her teaching. She specializes in young beginners to advanced students. Her goal is to teach students strong practice techniques and help them develop a love for music as an art form. Ms. Anderson encourages her students to set learning goals so they will be able to participate in both the Winter and Spring recitals. She also prepares her more advanced students for auditions. Ms. Anderson has performed with several Churches, Orchestras/Chamber groups, Agape Players, Adagio Big Band and has recently done studio recordings with an artist from Nashville, TN.
